Counseling

For individuals, couples, & families

We occasionally feel stuck or out of control, and need guidance to navigate the rocks and rapids that show up in our lives. Taking time to look more deeply, to get a fresh perspective, and feel supported on the journey makes a profound difference in how we overcome these changes and challenges.

Together we create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where each client has the opportunity to explore their true self, reflect on possibilities, and gain insight that leads to action.

We work holistically – mind, body, and spirit – looking at mental health as one point on the spectrum of well-being, and how that intersects with other aspects of building a whole and fulfilling life.

MENS GROUP: FORGING AUTHENTICITY

Exploration, accountability, and connection

In generations past, we’d spend our time with elders, witnessing first-hand how “men” moved through the world. Today, there are so many different expectations of us as brothers, fathers, friends, and partners. It’s a struggle to stay true to yourself while negotiating a culture with a narrow definition of masculinity; one that encourages us to disconnect from our emotions, devalue authentic friendships, objectify and degrade women, and resolve conflicts through violence.
.
A contemporary men’s group is a powerful way to reconnect to the tradition of “sitting in circle” with other men. While historically those journeys were mostly in the external world, modern mens’ groups allow us to use structure and regular practice to go on inner journeys together.
.
I have a deep passion for men’s work. I lead groups as a way for us to explore our deeper selves through community, connection, and accountability—a chance to examine our individual expressions of masculinity and the issues that matter most to us.
.
Joining an organized men’s group is one of the most powerful investments in yourself you can make. I invite you in and look forward to meeting you.
