Forging Authenticity

In generations past, we’d spend our time with elders, witnessing first-hand how “men” moved through the world. Today, there are so many different expectations of us as brothers, fathers, friends, and partners. It’s a struggle to stay true to yourself while negotiating a culture with a narrow definition of masculinity; one that encourages us to disconnect from our emotions, devalue authentic friendships, objectify and degrade women, and resolve conflicts through violence.

A contemporary men’s group is a powerful way to reconnect to the tradition of “sitting in circle” with other men. While historically those journeys were mostly in the external world, modern mens’ groups allow us to use structure and regular practice to go on inner journeys together.

I’m Woody Pollock, and I have a deep passion for men’s work. I lead groups as a way for us to explore our deeper selves through community, connection, and accountability—a chance to examine our individual expressions of masculinity and the issues that matter most to us.

Joining an organized men’s group is one of the most powerful investments in yourself you can make. I invite you in and look forward to meeting you.
